Do you like kickass heroines, characters exploring their morals, and intriguing monsters? Then Run Red by Nova Blake will call to your monster-loving nature.
Run Red is an action-packed monster romance. It covers themes of childhood trauma; trust and caution; the ecological impact of human settlements; and the lines a person will not cross. So far, the story is more action-oriented than romance-oriented, but there are hints that there will be more romance in book 2, which will be available later in 2023.
I always appreciate a story with an ecological theme. Blake has drawn the complicated web of motivations and pressures for the main character Red to navigate. Nothing is simple in this book, and I really enjoyed the intricacies of her relationships with others.
I’m looking forward to reading book 2 when it comes out.
